ACT
Students in Grades 11 and 12 can complete the requirements for the Australian Capital Territory Senior Secondary Certificate. The ACT Board of Senior Secondary Subjects accredits all of the courses offered by POMIS. The ACT Education System is based on internal assessment by each school and does not have public examinations at the end of Grade 12. However, each semester, staff from POMIS present student work at Moderation Meetings in Canberra to ensure grades and assessment are comparable. The courses taught in Grades 11 and 12 are developed by the teachers in the school and approved by the school and the ACT Schools Authority for inclusion in the school education program. For the purposes of the ACT this makes us an ACT school.
